The buzz is that, aside from three upcoming Horizon titles and a film, Sony is also developing an animated series inspired by the Horizon Cosmos. Devotees are on the edge of their seats awaiting the debut of Horizon Steel Frontiers, Horizon Hunters Gathering, and an additional single-player experience currently in development. Moreover, a film is slated for next year, although it appears that Sony believes more can be explored within the Horizon world.
According to a typically reliable industry insider, production on the animated series was active as of last autumn, when confirmation of the movie was also announced. While the current state of the animated project remains uncertain, there is a possibility it may still reach fruition.
