The life of a Sim infant in The Sims 4 has evolved beyond the base game thanks to the newly introduced "Growing Together" DLC. In a gentle weaving of reality and simulation, the developers have ingeniously introduced Infant Quirks to the game, fundamentally altering how the youngest Sims interact with their environment and caregivers. What started in March 2023 with the addition of Infants to the gameplay has now progressed to a more complex stage as we explore it all here.

Understanding Infant Quirks

In the Growing Together DLC of The Sims 4, Quirks add a charismatic hue to the infant stage of a Sim's life. They appear as randomly assigned behaviors and preferences that the infants develop while venturing into their new world of experiences. They perfectly reflect the unique characterization that every real-life infant possesses, thus enhancing the simulation. They related to sleeping, feeding, socializing, and even bodily functions, making parenting a blissful challenge of deciphering and adjusting to the unique Quirks of every infant.

All About the Many Quirks

With the DLC, a Sim infant stands a chance to possess up to three Quirks simultaneously. The gaming community has identified a total of 19 Infant Quirks till now. These engaging behaviors include everything from being an "Early Riser," waking up at the break of dawn, to being a "Happy Spitter," prone to spitting out food during meals.

The Quirks not only make the Infant Sims come alive with their unique behaviors but also add an extra layer of enjoyment and guide the parental decisions of their caregiver Sims. Additional Quirks like the "Little Babbler" making constant noise to the "Self-Soother" calming themselves when upset are further examples of unique Infant Quirks.

While these Quirks get locked in once the notification arrives, players can also access a cheat menu to modify them. They can add, remove, or alter these Quirks as per the storyline of their simulated world. Cheating, in this case, requires opening the cheat box, typing in testingcheats, selecting "Pack Cheats," then "Expansion Packs," and finally, "Infant Quirks."

Despite requiring a cheat to modify, these Quirks are a fun and engaging addition to the world of Sims, making every infant unique and every moment of parenting unpredictably enjoyable.

Tracking Infant Quirks

Players can monitor all Infant Quirks under their Simology profile. The game also offers notifications every time a Sim notices a Quirk in their Infant. These real-time notifications further the reality aspect of the game, which keeps players hooked and fulfills their expectations from an immersive simulation gaming experience.

The addition of Infants' Quirks in the "Growing Together" DLC of The Sims 4 has not only pumped up the complexity and enjoyment levels of the game but also enriched the realism aspect of this popular simulation game.
